PHDMC Issues New Community Levels Tool to Follow COVID Community Rates

Montgomery County Medical Society Provided by MCMS Administration

Public Health Dayton & Montgomery County has a new tool in its toolbox to help track data and provide information on current cases of COVID-19/variants in the community, based on hospital admissions, hospital beds in use for COVID-19 patients, and cases reported. The Low/Medium/High designation levels help communities determine which actions can be taken to help protect from exposure. Individuals are encouraged to take the precautions necessary to protect yourselves and others based on the level of your community. Montgomery County is currently in the LOW category

For Communities designated in the LOW category, the CDC recommends the following:

GET TESTED If you have symptoms

WEAR A MASK if you have symptoms, a positive test, or were exposed to someone with COVID-19

WEAR A MASK on public transportation – you may choose to wear a mask under any circumstances you deem appropriate to protect yourself and others
