Meet Our Board
Leadership Within the Montgomery County Medical Society
Leadership of the Montgomery County Medical Society is provided by an elected Board of Directors, including the President, First Vice President, Second Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, Immediate Past President, and Directors at Large. The chiefs of staff of Kettering Health, Miami Valley Hospital, and Dayton Children’s Hospital also hold designated seats on the Board. Public Health – Dayton & Montgomery County and the Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine are invited to appoint ex-officio representatives. The Board typically meets five times each year and supports the Society’s programs, events, advocacy, and service to the physician community. MCMS members interested in board service are encouraged to contact the Society.
Nancy Pook, MD
177th President
Dr. Pook is a board-certified emergency medicine physician who has served patients in the Dayton region for more than 30 years. She practices with Emergency Medicine Specialists, Inc. and has held numerous leadership and educational roles within Kettering Health. As President of MCMS, Dr. Pook is committed to supporting physicians, strengthening professional connections, and advancing quality healthcare in our community.
Julie Gilkeson, MD
First Vice President
Dr. Gilkeson is a board-certified vascular surgeon serving patients throughout the Dayton region. She is deeply committed to patient care, medical education, and limb preservation. She serves as an Associate Clinical Professor at the Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine and enjoys mentoring the next generation of physicians.
Srikanth Sadhu, MD
Second Vice President
Dr. Sadhu is a board-certified interventional cardiologist serving patients throughout the Dayton region. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular and peripheral vascular disease and is committed to providing high-quality, patient-centered care. Dr. Sadhu brings extensive expertise in cardiovascular medicine and interventional cardiology to the MCMS Board of Directors.
Jhansi Koduri, MD
Immediate Past President
A board-certified hematologist and medical oncologist, Dr. Koduri serves patients throughout the Dayton region. She is also the founder of Harmony Adult Day Services, an organization dedicated to supporting older adults and their families. Dr. Koduri served as the 2025 President of MCMS and enjoys bringing physicians together across specialties and career stages.
Walter A. Reiling III, MD
Treasurer
Dr. Reiling is a family medicine physician and serves as Chief Medical Informatics Officer for Premier Health. A recognized leader at the intersection of medicine and technology, he has helped guide major healthcare transformation initiatives, including system-wide electronic health record implementation and the adoption of innovative clinical technologies. He also served as MCMS President in 2013.
Katherine House, DO
Secretary
Dr. House is a board-certified internal medicine physician with South Dayton Acute Care Consultants, where she provides comprehensive inpatient care for hospitalized adults. She is committed to compassionate, evidence-based care and to helping patients and families navigate complex medical conditions. Dr. House values collaboration among healthcare professionals and works to improve outcomes across the continuum of care.
Josh Stierwalt, MD
Director at Large
Dr. Stierwalt is a board-certified emergency medicine physician at Wright-Patterson Medical Center and serves as Military Assistant Program Director for the Wright State University/Wright-Patterson Emergency Medicine Residency Program. His professional interests include operational medicine, critical care transport, and emerging technologies that improve patient care in complex environments.
Gary LeRoy, MD
Director at Large
Dr. LeRoy is a board-certified family physician and former President of the American Academy of Family Physicians, representing more than 130,000 family physicians and medical students nationwide. A lifelong Daytonian, educator, and community advocate, he has spent decades caring for underserved patients while mentoring future physicians through the Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine.
Shannon McAfee, DO
Director at Large
Dr. McAfee is a board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist with Far Hills OB/GYN and has cared for women and families throughout the Dayton region since 2010. In addition to her clinical practice, she is committed to advancing women’s health and supporting physician leadership within the community.
Elizabeth Nyberg
Society Administrator
Elizabeth provides strategic and operational leadership for MCMS membership, communications, educational programs, events, and community partnerships. With a background in technology, analytics, and operations, she focuses on connecting physicians, strengthening the Society’s presence, and supporting its work on behalf of the Montgomery County medical community.
